Leader Induction Checklist
Welcome to the leader induction checklist, supporting new leaders and signposting to information
and resources to help you in your new role. Your line manager will work with you to ensure you
have an induction plan for your new role which will use content from the resources below,
appropriate to your responsibilities.
Alongside the links to information below, you can also see a range of resources on our DLO
platform (Derbyshire Learning Online) – when your employee number has been issued you will be
able to create an account: DLO.
If you are new to Derbyshire County Council, you should also complete the core induction checklist
(Induction - Our Derbyshire) with support from your line manager.
Regular one to one conversation are embedded in the way we work and are incorporated into the
Council’s “My Plan” performance management process (see Section 3 below for My Plan
guidance).
The checklist is a guide therefore please adjust to suit individual needs.
