        1.  Dr.K.M.Aparna Mani did an ICMR project on “Pharmacological evaluation of 
          synthesized silver nanoparticles using herbal extract”  under Dr.C.Vasanthi, Professor,  
          from 2011 – 2017. 
        2.  Dr.Arthi Balasundaram is doing an ICMR project on “Molecular and Pharmacological 
          screening of PDE7B inhibitors using phytoconstituents in neurological disorders” under 
          Dr.Darling Chellathai, Professor and HOD, from 2014. 
        3.  Dr.Varsha Ramesh  is doing an ICMR project on “Detection of novel serum bio-markers 
          and  genetic polymorphism that predict SSRI treatment outcome in South Indian 
          Population with Major Depressive Disorder” under Dr.V.Vetriselvi, Professor, 
          Department of Human Genetics ,  from 2015. 
        4.  Dr.Sharanya is doing an ICMR project on “Evaluation and comparison of the anticancer 
          effect of the marine algae Cladophora genesis and Cladophora glomerata” under 
          Dr.D.Anusha, Associate Professor, from 2015. 
        5.  Dr.Lathapriya  is doing an ICMR project on “Preclinical evaluation of antidiabetic 
          activity of a novel algae- Ulva paschima”  ” under Dr.D.Anusha, Associate Professor, 
          from 2016. 
        6.  Ms.Manipriya, III MBBS,  did an ICMR STS project on “Free Radical scavenging 
          activity of Orphenadrine” under Dr.S.Seethalakshmi, Professor and HOD, in 2012.  
        7.  Dr.Shweta LIzbeth Oommen, Research Scholar, PIMS, is doing a part-time Ph.D on 
          “Pharmacoeconomic analysis of antipsychotic drugs in patients with schizophrenia” 
          under Dr.P.Elango , Professor, from  2015. 
        8.  Mr.Boddu.V.S.Chandrashekar has received the Founder Chancellor-Fellowship Grant  
          for full time Ph.D under Dr.P.Elango , Professor, from  2014. His project is “Evaluation 
          of Neuroprotective effect of Carvacrol in neuronal damage in stress induced albino rats” 
        9.  Dr.K.Punnagai , Associate Professor,  is doing a part-time Ph.D on “Development and 
          Implementation of eModules  and Blended learning methods in Pharmacology and the 
          experiences of the Undergraduate students on Blended learning methods in a Medical 
          university” under Dr.Vijayasagar from 2014. 
        10. Dr.V.Gowri, Assistant Professor,  is doing a part-time Ph.D on “Development and 
          execution of animation enhanced education by Teaching concepts in pharmacology at a 
          medical university of tamilnadu and evaluating its effectiveness” under Dr.Vijayasagar 
          from 2014. 
        11. Mr.Mohan Krishna has received the Founder Chancellor-Fellowship Grant  for full 
          time Ph.D under Dr.P.Elango , Professor, from  2015. His project is “Neuroprotective 
          effects of Momordica  charantia extract on 6 Hydroxy dopamine induced apoptosis of 
          striatal neurons in rat model”. 
        12. Mr. P. Venkata Naveen Kumar  is doing a part-time Ph.D on ‘Assessment of 
          antidepressant activity of Lycopene and its possible mechanism of action in wistar rats’  
          under Dr.P.Elango , Professor, from  2015. 
        13. Mr. Yakaiah Vangoori  is doing a part-time Ph.D on “Evaluation of antiobesity effect of 
          Myristica fragrans extract in animal model of obesity” under  Dr.D.Anusha, Associate 
          Professor, from 2015. 
        14. Mr. Nagaraju Kancherla is doing a part-time Ph.D on “Evaluation of 
          neuropharmacological properties of methanolic extract of Cayratia auriculata in animal 
          models “under  Dr.D.Anusha, Associate Professor, from 2016.

          drugs of natural origin in the management of renal disorders” under Dr.C.Vasanthi, 
          Professor,  from 2016.  
        16. Mr.Suresh  Parepalli is doing a part-time Ph.D on Studies on “Dicliptera cuneata nees for 
          anti-inflammatory potential in animal models” under Dr.V.P.Karthik, Assistant Professor 
          , from 2017.  
        17. Mrs.Saranya is doing a part-time Ph.D on “Pharmacological evaluation of Zinc 
          Nanoparticles synthesized using Ethanolic bark extract of Bavhinia purpurea for 
          antiobesity effect” under  Dr.D.Anusha, Associate Professor, from 2017. 
        18. Dr.P.Elango, Associate Professor , did a GATE project on “Evaluation of the effect of 
          Flupirtine in U373 MG  (Human brain tumor ) cells” in 2011.

          Flupirtine in Brain cells of Albino rats” in 2012. 
        20. Dr.S.Ramya,  Assistant Professor , did a GATE project on “Evaluation of genetic 
          polymorphisms in ABCB1 and CYP72 genes as pharmacogenetic markers in patients  
          receiving   Vincristine based Chemotherapy” in 2016.

          concentration among patients receiving Proton Pump Inhibitors” in 2017.

          Project  titled “Evaluation of drug interaction between roflumilast (BCRP inhibitor) and 
          Methotrexate (BCRP substrate) on viability of primary squamous cell carcinoma - An in 
          vitro study” under Dr.S.Ramya, Assistant Professor, in 2017.

          “Comparison Of Anti-Inflammatory Activity Of Vildagliptin And Saxagliptin – An In 
          Vitro Study” under Dr.K.Karthika, Assistant Professor in  2018.

          the combined cognitive enhancement effect of brassica juncea and cynadon dactylon 
          extract in scopolamine induced amnesia zebra fish model” under the guidance of Dr.
