            The Triton Summer Scholarship Program is designed to keep UMSL students on pace for timely degree completion. This 
            program gives preference to students who have not completed 30 credit hours or more during the academic year and lack the 
            financial aid resources needed to pay for summer classes. This scholarship will pay up to $1,000 of tuition at UMSL during the
            summer semester. In order to be eligible for this program, students must take at least 6 credit hours during the summer 
            semester. Students awarded the Triton Summer Scholarship that do not end up taking 6 credit hours, will forfeit the 
            scholarship. Students who have remaining grants or scholarships available during the summer are eligible to receive this 
            scholarship but in a reduced form. Scholarships and grants will first be applied to tuition cost. The Triton Summer Scholarship 
            will then be added to cover remaining tuition but will not exceed a total of $1,000. 
            The eligibility criteria for this program are as follows: 
                •   Must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen, as defined by the FAFSA
                •   Must have completed at least one semester at UMSL during the current academic year (Fall 2021 or Spring 2022)
                •   Must be working on first bachelor’s degree
                •   Must have completed the FAFSA for the current academic year (2021-2022)
                •   Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress at UMSL and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA

                    Have not already completed 30 credit hours between this past fall and spring semester

            Please list in the table below the course(s) you plan on taking during the summer semester. We will not be requiring advisor 
            signatures on the form. The UMSL Student Financial Services Office will reach out to your advisor after you submit the form.
            They will confirm that these courses are needed for graduation. If the classes that you are enrolled in are not confirmed by 
            your advisor, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE SCHOLARSHIP. We highly recommend that you email your advisor to ensure the 
            classes listed are ones that you need.
